A group of Armenian students gathered Friday at the Egyptian Embassy in Armenia to express support for Egyptian opposition.
"The event aims to make our protest audible to Egyptian tyrants. We call for the Egyptian leadership to resign. It seems to me that the Egyptian people have not matured to the extent as to sue President Mubarak in the international court," said protester Arthur Minasyan.
"We witnessed the same events in Armenia on March 1, 2008 when the authorities tried to subdue protests by bloodshed. In Armenia, people were struggling to restore justice, democracy and human rights," he added.
Rally participants passed a letter, supporting Egyptian people in a struggle for freedom, to security officers at the embassy.
