On April 16, the day of Armenian police was celebrated which coincided with the International Gay Day in connection with which, the Chief of Police Alik Sargsyan stated that it is a shame for the Armenian policemen to celebrate their holiday on the same day with gays, hence he turned to Serge Sargsyan to change the professional day of police.
I would not like to go into details of the absurdity of this statement, but I would like to ask Alik Sargsyan whether those Armenian Police officials who were born on April 16 have to change their birthday too. It is interesting to find out how many of Armenian policemen have anything in common with this date, perhaps investigation will reveal the "perpetrators".
Again dealing with absurdity, we can find the birthdays of worldly famous gay people starting with Elton John and Boris Moiseyev, and ending with George Michael and Freddy Mercury and see if any police official was also born on the same day, and dismiss them at once. And if the birthday of a high-ranking police official or power representative coincides with a birthday of a gay, they can state that it is a lie and go on living calmly.
The misery of this clownery does not consist only in above-mentioned statement but also in what the Armenian police officials can be ashamed of. I would be happy if the Armenian Chief of the Police stated that he is ashamed of the fact that there are such kind of Police officials in Armenia who are capable of hitting women, youths holding a poster, committing violence, threatening etc. No accident, on the same day of this statement, in Charentsavan police department a 24 year-old youth died and instead of being ashamed if this, they are ashamed of a coincidence of dates.
Let alone the 10 killed in front of thousands of police officials on March 1, 2008. They should be ashamed of the fact that after March 1, none of the police officials gave valuable testimony, which could reveal the killings. They can also be ashamed of the fact that during Alik Sargsyan's tenure the criminals who attacked the journalists were not revealed, journalists -most of whom, putting their lives in danger, expose a crime. In the end, he could be ashamed of the murder of his own deputy.
I am disgusted with a police official, who allows himself to conceal the crime, torturing women and children, to be a "tuzik" at the door of the oligarchs, who has a gay soul. Gays should be embarrassed that they celebrate their holiday on the same day with the Armenian police.
Meanwhile the police officials, who really hate criminals and do everything to isolate them and for whom the officer's honor is not just words, have nothing to be ashamed of, because they can walk proudly in their country any day, anywhere.
