A MEETING OF ARMENIAN AND GEORGIAN MINISTERS TOOK PLACE


Today, Minister of Defense of Georgia Bacho Akhalaya arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.
 
A private talk between the two ministers took place, which was followed by a meeting of both delegations in an extended format. The results of the negotiations were summed up at a joint press conference.
 
Attaching importance to the development of cooperation in the defense sphere, Seyran Ohanyan said the cooperation aims at ensuring exchange of experience and forming an atmosphere of mutual trust around the peace settlement of territorial security issues.
 
The ministers agreed that regional conflicts should have peace solutions.
 
The Georgian Minister underlined that necessary grounds for further development of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the defense sphere are present.
