
The opposition alliance Armenian National Congress (HAK) has submitted a notification with the Mayor's Office about a rally to be held at Liberty Square on February 18.
Speaking about the municipality's decision to sanction sports and cultural events at the square from February 15 to March 15, HAK Spokesman Arman Musinayan said it was illegal as a notice to the municipality is to be submitted no earlier than 21 days before the planned event.
HAK is going to resume large-scale political protests at the square. The opposition's major rally is scheduled for February 18 - on the eve of rigged




ANKARA (Today's Zaman)—The jailed leader of the Kurdistan Worker's Party, Abdullah Öcalan, said the state wanted his party to kill former prime minister Tansu Çiller but he refused, according to a recently published book by journalist Cengiz Kapmaz titled, "Öcalan’ın İmralı’daki Günleri," Today's Zaman reported Wednesday.
