President of A1+ Company to give press conference

President of Meltex LLC (A1+ TV Company) Mesrop Movsesyan will give a press conference at 1:00 p.m. December 20.

During the news conference, Mr. Movsesyan will answer journalists' questions regarding the ‘fake' documents found by the National Commission on Television and Radio in the package of A1+.

As A1+'s representative in the European Court of Human Rights informed Aravot daily, the Committee of Ministers is the Council of Europe will be informed about the commission's decision.

"The issue will also be raised during a meeting with our European colleagues in Yerevan in January," said Tigran-Ter-Yesayan.

The two companies mentioned in A1+'s contest package and declared as non-existing by the Commission have already responded to NCTR's decision.

"Both the public and the Commission will have a chance to get acquainted with the documents presented by these companies in the coming days. Yesterday Meltex Ltd asked the Commission for the copies of answers received from UK and Belize. Details will be revealed on Monday," said Mr. Yesayan.

On December 16, A1+ was for 13 times denied broadcasting license after its license expired in 2002. The National Commission on Television and Radio denied the Company a broadcast license for digital range over 'fake' documents in the package proposed by the TV channel.

NCTR Chairman Grigor Amalyan said that the Commission discovered that some documents in A1+ TV's package were 'fake and prepared by unknown people.'

According to Grigor Amalyan, the name and the seal of one of the companies did not match while the second company mentioned in the package had been dissolved a couple of years ago.
