The first round of FIDE Women's Grand Prix was held in Jermuk Resort on June 24.
Armenian grandmasters Lilit Mkrtchian and Elina Danileyan defeated Xu Yuhua (China) and Maia Chiburdanidze (Georgia) respectively.
Shen Yang (China), Baira Kovanova (Russia) and Nana Dzagnidze (Georgia) also enjoyed victories in the forth round.
In the second round Mkrtchyan will play vs. Martha Fierro (Ecuador), while Daniyelyan - vs. Nana Dzagnidze (Georgia).
