Bread price up in Kapan

Bread prices have gone up in Kapan by 20-30 drams. A loaf of bread weighing 600 grams is sold at AMD 240 at the groceries. The new prices are determined by the advance in flour prices.

The decision to set new prices for bread was taken during a meeting with the Syunik Marzpet (Governor) and local bakers. Kapan residents are outraged by the price hike.

"We buy at least four loaves of bread a day. We are unable to make both ends meet. Cheese is already a luxury for us and now they deprive us of bread," said Mts.

Armenia Fund Brings Water to Noragyugh Village in Artsakh


STEPANAKERT—Only three months after the 13th annual Armenia Fund Telethon raised $20.8 million for water projects in Artsakh, residents of Noragyugh village in the Askeran region of Artsakh now have regular access to clean drinking water thanks to a new 5km-long pipeline connecting every home in the village to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's main water grid.

The project, financed by Armenia Fund's French affiliate and Armenian entrepreneurs in Russia, has proceeded in multiple phases. With the completion of the pipeline and a distribution network, construction crews are now set to begin work
